I think it is a good idea to keep a record of a list of happy days. And I would encourage all of you who are reading this to do so. Here is my list and I will keep adding it:
The day I received my PSLE results and found that I scored an A* for my worst subject — English.
The day I received my O level results and found that I scored distinctions for my worst subject — Mathematics.
The day I received my university acceptance letter. I made it to university despite having done extremely badly for my A levels.
The day I was baptised — at the stroke of midnight of Easter — 3 April 2000
The day I married JT — 22 November 2003.
The day I found out I was pregnant for the first time.
The day I found out I was pregnant again after suffering the miscarriage the first time.
The day I told my ex-boss I was pregnant and got more surprising news from him in return; that he was shortening my probation period and giving me a promotion!
The day Josh was born — 21 May 2007.
The day Josh started walking on his own — 18 October 2008. We share this happy day with two sets of our friends who got married on this day.
The day I made up my mind about going back to work.
The day I discovered that Josh can read (i.e. recognise, NOT read out loud) many words even at the tender age of 17mths and 2weeks.
Our 5th wedding anniversary. Also the day that Josh decided that he was no longer afraid of his float nor the sand on the beach — 22 November 2008.
The day Josh ran off to play with his friends and teachers at Busy Buddies class, and left me behind — 16 December 2008.
The day Josh finally calls me Mama FINALLY — 21 February 2009.
The day Emily was born, after a dramatic pregnancy — 13 Sept 2009.
The day that JT told me that he would hold my hand and walk with me all through this dark journey.
The day I got my old job back. Thanks Boss!
Emily’s first birthday — 13 Sept 2010, which also marked my personal achievement of being able to breastfeed her for nearly 1 year.
The day we were pleasantly surprised that Josh could write some alphabets and numbers, when we thought he was not interested — 18 February 2011.
